I was absent last Monday because of a bank seminar that I attended for a week. And I am more than glad to know that a lot of our members came to be counted upon in that meeting.This is the first issue of The Sunrise during this term of Pres. Boy. Indeed, we are blessed to have members who despite their hectic schedules still find time to write for our bulletin. Kudos to PP Jun Mac, Rtn. Patrick, Rtn. Rex Lor, Assec Alex De Venecia who immediately e-mailed their write-ups after having informed of the publication of the first issue. I hope that Rotarians Cris Blancaflor, Nonong Canicula, Col. Borromeo and the rest will follow suit.
I was told that some members would like to know where our membership dues of FIVE THOUSAND PESOS (P5, 000.00) go. For the information of those who still do not know the breakdown of disbursements please be guided by the following itemized list:
RI dues – US$ 48.00 @ P45.00 (exchange rate today) - P 2,160.00
Philippine Rotary Magazine - P 550.00
Sunrise Bulletin - P 960.00
Governor’s Fund - P 300.00
Calamity Fund (remitted to Dist. Governor) - P 150.00
Club projects and other miscellaneous expenses - P 880.00
TOTAL - P 5,000.00
Some members suggested that the weekly program be planned ahead of time. This is a very good suggestion so that members participating in that activity will have time to prepare especially those members who will be assigned as night chairman and in charge of the finest moment.
Indeed there are a lot of bright ideas! Hopefully we could sustain our enthusiasm.
